White House staff is ‘working to ensure an orderly transfer of power,’ says Trump press secretary

White House Press Secretary Kayleigh McEnany forcefully condemned the actions of rioters on Capitol Hill in a brief appearance before the press Thursday afternoon, while calling on Americans “to unite, to come together and to reject the violence that we have seen.”

“The violence that we saw yesterday at our nation’s capital was appalling, reprehensible and antithetical to the American way,’ she said. “Those who are working in this building are working to ensure an orderly transfer of power,” she added.
