BSE Sensex was hovering around 48,000, while the broader Nifty 50 index was testing 14,100 levels. Index heavyweights such as Reliance Industries Ltd (RIL), Infosys, ITC, TCS and HDFC, among others, contributed the most to the Sensex’ loss. Top BSE Sensex gainers are Power Grid Corporation of India, ONGC, Bharti Airtel, ICICI Bank, State Bank of India (SBI), Titan Company and Kotak Mahindra Bank.
