Moderna to provide Korea with 40 million doses of its COVID vaccine

on Thursday confirmed that it has agreed to supply the South Korean government with 40 million doses of its COVID-19 vaccine. Deliveries are expected to start in May of 2021. The vaccine is not currently approved in Korea, so the company will work with regulators to seek approval before distribution. Moderna’s vaccine has received emergency use authorization in the U.S. and U.K. where it is already being deployed. Shares have gained 468% in 2020, while the SPDR S&P Biotech ETF
